For which of the following values of

For which of the following values of n is 100+n/n NOT an integer?

3 Explanations

5

N is always divisible by itself, hence you only have to find the answer choice that is not a divisor of 100. Now it is obvious that 3 is the only integer that is not a divisor of 100.

Exactly Gerben, (X + Y)/Y = X/Y + Y/Y , since Y is divisible by Y, just search for a value which is NOT a factor of 100. Since 1, 2, 4 and 5 are factors of 100, the correct answer is 3 (C).

Just can solve mentally within 70 sec or even less, As n = Even easily divisible by an even number, then taking the odd numbers 1,3,5... 3 doesn't gives us an integer.
