Thirty percent of the members of a swim club have passed the lifesaving test. Among the members who have not passed the test, 12 have taken the preparatory course and 30 have not taken the course. How many members are there in the swim club?

I could solve it with inputing answer choices in the 30%x and then adding up all the members to see if it equals the answer choice I inputed.
For example:
30/100 (60)= 18
18+12+30=60
So, A is correct.

Let's try choice B

30/100 (80)= 24
24+12+30= 66
So, it's wrong
