I have a confusion here between less and fewer .
Less is used for uncountable things whereas fewer for countable
Percentage is countable right?
I straightaway eliminated options A,B,C because of the above reason

Hi Ananth,

The key here is to see that what is being compared is "rice production," which is uncountable. We're not comparing "41 million tons." We're comparing "rice production" and "harvest." These are not countable.
