The dial shown above is divided into equal-sized intervals. At which of the following letters will the pointer stop if it is rotated clockwise from S through 1,174 intervals?

There are 8 equal intervals.
The pointer rotates 1174 intervals clockwise before it stops.
If we divide 1174/8, we will get the number of times the pointer took one full rotation ( from S to S).
Writing 1174/8 as a mixed fraction we get 146 as quotient and 6 as remainder.
146 will be at S, so count 6 more from S.
The answer is E
