A rectangular rug has an accent border. What is the area of the rug that excludes the border?

(1) perimeter is 44 ft.
Because this gives us no information about the size of the accent border, nor enough information to find the overall area, it is insufficient

(2) The boarder is 1 foot wide on all side
This give us no information about the size of the rug, so there is no way to solve. it is insufficient

The combination of both is still insufficient.
For example, a rug with a perimeter of 44 ft could have the dimensions of 2x20. If the border was 1 foot wide, then there would be no area inside the border.
OR the rug could be 11x11, in which case the area of the rug that is not the border would be 9x9 or 81.
