Is the number of members of Club X greater than the number of members of Club Y?

What about if X- has 1000 and Y has 100?

If we were told that x=1000 and y=100, then we would how many members were in each group from the start. We would know that Club X has a greater numbers of members than Club Y. So, we would have sufficient information to answer the question without having to consider either statement.
