The lessons were all great, and they reaffirmed my feeling that an in-person prep course was not necessary for me, but what I liked most were the detailed video explanations to each practice question. I reviewed these in detail, for both questions I got right and wrong, to learn tips and shortcuts to the problems and I think this is what really paid dividends. |

The composition of Magoosh's practice questions were very similar to what I encountered on test day. Customer support was fantastic - super responsive and considerate. Lastly, the accompanying iPhone apps for idioms and math concepts were well-built and really useful on the go. Also, the video explanations to the practice questions were super helpful - they really helped me understand my mistakes on every question that I got wrong, I was never left thinking 'how/why did they do that?'. Besides the free GMATPrep software from mba.com, Magoosh was the only prep that I used for the GMAT (didn't even have the OG), so a Magoosh Premium subscription is definitely sufficient to tackle the GMAT. I only had three weeks to prepare for the GMAT. I hadn't done any standardised exams since college, which for me was almost a decade ago. During these three weeks, I worked a 12 hour-a-day job and travelled extensively for business, so my study time was very limited. Having looked around online, I signed up for the 30 day Magoosh package, which was the shortest course available anywhere. It proved to be a great investment. Without enough time to procure a copy of the OG, I used Magoosh materials almost exclusively, and got a 770 first time. The videos were concise, the iinstruction was professional and unwavering, and the practice problems were comprehensive. Especially useful features: video transcripts, allowing me to skip ahead, and ability to watch videos in accelerated mode.
