Magoosh focuses on teaching you how to think the GMAT way, and does not promote iffy shortcuts (which almost always fails on D-Day). After watching the Magoosh videos I was able to approach the questions a lot more methodically, and look beyond the initial chaos of a question to find what the GMAT actually wants an answer to. The videos are crisp and clear, and the team was very prompt in responding to any queries. Apart from that, the question bank was thorough and gave me a lot of material to practice my newly acquired GMAT approaches on, in preparation for Test Day. On a side note, I did not prepare for the IR section at all. I hadn't done the Magoosh videos, hadn't done the section even once during any mock, but yet I scored an 8. This I truly credit to Magoosh's CR and RC techniques. I believe those videos had already put me in a thinking mindset, and hence despite having looked at the IR section for the first time ever on Test Day, I was able to do well. Thank you Magoosh. |

The logic of the lessons was very helpful. When I started my studies, I would get a question wrong, then watch the videos to see what I should have done. The logic completely missed me. But I stayed diligent in watching the lessons and soon i was getting questions right, but watching the videos after each study question anyway. (Don't skip this!) I quickly realized I was seeing patterns and "number sense" that I picked up from the lessons that even the instructors were missing. Several times on the official gmat (math and verbal) I was able to answer questions without even getting into a problem because I could recognize relationships between the questions and among the answers. |

I started off around 490(practice score) in August and was totally intimidated by GMAT. Over the last few months, I believe that Magoosh, especially all the solution video from Chris, improved my score from 490 to 710 (actual score). I am very happy with the result but even happier with the progress I made with the help of Magoosh. I found all the resources and videos easy to understand even for someone like me who hated math in school and has never attempted math problems again for 15 years. I've tried couple of Korean online courses but they were way more overpriced, of less qualify and they had time limit (usually 30 days) to finish the whole course. I love the fact that Magoosh lets the students to take as much time as they need and also for unlimited number of timed practice exam.
