Frequently Asked Questions

Who should sign up for live classes?

Any Magoosh student looking for accountability and structured preparation for the GMAT. Live classes are a great opportunity to ask your questions in live time and ask for clarification on any concepts you're struggling with.

This course is designed for students currently scoring in the 400-700 range (10th-90th percentile) and is most suited to students currently scoring in the 500-650 range (25th-75th percentile). Students with a recent test or practice test score in the upper or lower 10 percentiles (>700 or <400) may be better served by a different prep option.

How long are the classes?

Each class is two hours long and each class meets twice a week.

Where are the live classes?

Each session will be hosted via Zoom and accessible from the Classes tab of your Magoosh account.

What will I do in each class?

The GMAT instructor creates lesson plans for each class. Throughout the course of the 4 week program, you'll strengthen your test-taking strategies in Verbal and Quant.

What if I miss a class?

While we encourage students to attend class live to get the most out of the program, class sessions are recorded and will be made available in the Live Classes tab of your Magoosh account.

I've signed up for live classes, what do I do now?

When your first class session date approaches, you'll receive an email with more information on how to access the classes. Until then, feel free to explore the 1300+ practice questions and tons of video lessons we have!

How does the score guarantee work?

If you're enrolled in a GMAT live class cohort, we guarantee a 70-point increase in your overall score. This means we guarantee you'll improve your score or we'll give you a refund for your Magoosh self-study prep OR provide free enrollment in another live class.

What are the requirements for the score guarantee?

To qualify for the score guarantee, you must have taken the exam before and your old score must be valid (i.e. less than 5 years old). We have tiered score guarantee requirements which you can read more about here!

What is the refund policy?

If you're unhappy with your live classes, let us know before the second class and we'll give you a refund!

What is the difference between classes on-demand and live classes?

Both our Live Classes and classes On Demand include 16 hours of instruction over 8 classes. However, the classes On Demand are a set of pre-recorded classes, which you'll gain access to all at once! The curriculum is the same but with classes On Demand, you can watch each class at whatever time is best for you. With our Live Classes, you'll attend each class on a specific day at a specific time. If you need more flexibility in your schedule, the On Demand option may be the best choice!

What if none of the class times work for me?

Rather than joining a live class cohort, you can purchase our On Demand option! You'll still get all 8 classes, but with the flexibility to watch each class at whatever time is best for you. You'll have access to class recordings in the "Live Classes" tab of your Magoosh account, giving you time to work through the classes and homework at your own pace. Our On Demand option is catered towards students who have busy schedules, but still want that extra support in their test prep journey!
