I'm a psych major so I haven't had any major practice in math since high school. I got a 540 and 31 Quant score on my first practice test. 1 month and a half later I surpassed the 700 barrier, Magoosh's math lessons were extremely important, I did about 8 lessons and 30 practice questions daily (all quant), plus the cheaper official CATs were amazing value as well. Overall I just used the OG, Magoosh and the official CATs for my practice and I got where I wanted in half the time I expected. |

Magoosh was a tremendous help. The math lectures were basically perfect. From the subjects covered to the order of subjects to the method of explanation to the length, there is nothing I would change. The focus on what matters for the test (rather than every little detail) and on the efficient way to solve problems was especially helpful. With respect to the adaptive online question bank, I particularly liked (1) the combination of written and video explanations and (2) the discussion in the text of multiple ways to solve the same problem. I can't say much about your verbal offerings because I made only very minimal use of them. That was not due to any weakness in them but rather an assessment of my own needs going into the test. |

The content of the resources was comprehensive and well-structured. From the numerous sources available, Magoosh probably offers the best studying lessons of the subjects that appear on the GMAT. The general program of watching the lessons, solving the practice questions, and then watching a dedicated explanation of every solution, is simply the best way to start studying for a standard test. The Video explanations MADE the diffrence. Also all the mental math tricks were a God send. The amount of times I 'doubled and halfed' numbers to quickly multiply or used countless other tips that were shown in the videos was really what made the difference. While I got a Q44 on my 700 score, I actually got a Q47 on another gmat I took (got a 690 on that one), so Magoosh really REALLY made the diffrenece for me! Thanks y'all! |
