I only focused on studying for the quant section of the GMAT for my 2nd GMAT attempt. It is where I needed to improve the most. I watched all of the Magoosh math videos and worked through every math practice problem. It was a long and arduous process but I believe it really paid off. The math videos helped break down different techniques to solve complicated quant problems. I felt much more comfortable taking the GMAT quant section the second time around with the knowledge gained from the Magoosh math videos. I also thought that the video explanations for each practice problem were invaluable. Compared to text explanations in other GMAT study materials (ex. GMAT Official Guide), the video explanations clearly showed me how to arrive at the correct answer using the same techniques that were taught in the math videos. I would absolutely recommend Magoosh to anyone who needs help boosting their quant score. The fact that my scaled score jumped up 11 points in the quantitative section just from going through all the math videos and doing all of the practice problems is a testament to how effective Magoosh is really is. For the price as well, Magoosh can’t be beat. |

Magoosh was the main product I used for preparation. It's been a while since I graduated, so I chose a 3 months' plan for beginners. Daily instructions made it really easy to organize the process and stay on track - just what I needed. I relied almost solely on Magoosh materials, and rarely consulted any external sources (except forums and CAT). Thus I think this is a great plan for those who don't have tons of time for preparation, as all you need for a good score is there in a distilled form :) Excellent content for a great price. |

Magoosh provided an unbelievable platform to help me prepare for the exam. The questions (particularly the "Hard-Very Hard" quant questions) were much harder on Magoosh than the actual exam and the explanations were exceptional. When I originally started using Magoosh I was more focused on getting as many questions done versus taking full advantage of the explanations provided and the video resources. Additionally I followed the Magoosh "Advanced" study plan with a few modifications and it was incredibly helpful. |

Although I didn't follow it all three months, the math focused study plan was really helpful to focus me as I got started (I followed it through watching all the videos and then used Manhattan books my friend gave me to revisit the material--watching all the videos again was really daunting.) The math videos were incredibly clear and easy to understand, and I loved the way problems were interspersed in the explanations. |
